Peter has been a financial advisor over 30 years and is a co-founder of Buckley Patterson Shaw Securities BPSS, an independent financial services firm located in Rothesay. Peter believes that establishing a strong foundation leads to a better result. BPSS advisors work closely with their clients and their professional advisors to offer a clear perspective and develop a comprehensive financial “road map”- establishing goals, priorities and a plan of action.

Peter has enjoyed playing a role in the success of his clients, many of whom introduce Peter to their younger colleagues. His wealth of experience and insight has helped many young professionals and business owners create a clear path to financial independence.

On a personal note, Peter is married to Kelly and they have two teenage children, Stuart and Katie. His community involvement has included: coaching (hockey, basketball and football), charities (United Way, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Do It for Dad), local government (Rothesay Town Council) and heritage (Rothesay Area Heritage Trust, Rothesay Preservation Review Board and Heritage Canada Foundation). Peter enjoys music, golf, hockey, reading, travelling and family time.
